Sly and Single Again aka Cunning Single Lady.

Entertainment

With the kdrama, You Who Came from The Stars/My Love From Another Planet completed. You wonder, what's next that would be just as good as the previous drama.

There are always tons of dramas to watch, yet sometimes you wonder is it good? Will I enjoy watching this drama? It makes you skeptical.

Thanks to my boredom last night and the crave to watch some korean dramas, I started on a hunt once again for something new and worth watching. Gave it a try and hell yeah! Finally found one

Sly and Single Again aka Cunning Single Lady
앙큼한 돌싱녀

Episodes: 16
Ongoing

 . CASTS .

Right, guess who else is part of this show?

It's Infinite L!

Synopsis.

Ae-Ra is focused on her appearance as she believes it will lead her to a better life. She then meets Jung-Woo who studied engineering. They eventually get married, but they also get divorced. After their divorce, Ae-Ra goes through difficult times. Unlike Ae-Ra though, Jung-Woo becomes a successful IT developer and became very wealthy. Now, Ae-Ra tries to seduce Jung-Woo to marry her again while Jung-Woo tries to take his revenge on her.

Well, I'll usually do a review but this 16 episode drama is only been broadcasting 4 episodes up-to-date! The drama's been pretty interesting so far. Hilarious and lighthearted. It just makes you smile cause the couple's just too cute! It's cute watching how both couples who got married and then divorce tries to get back at each other be it trying to seduce or revenge. You see a bond between them which both sides hasn't quite realized it yet. Maybe it's pretty much a typical thing in korean dramas that you can more or less tell after watching way too many of them with pretty much similar scenarios.

Hopefully there'll be an awesome twist in the show but like every other korean drama, the leads will always end up together. This drama reminds me a little of "Paradise Ranch" which was broadcasted couple of years back (which I started watching it again recently this past week after My Love from Another Planet ended and left with no other dramas worth watching). Haha!

Let's wait, watch and see..
Shall we?

I'm pretty much looking forward to the following episodes infact. And I think it's gonna get pretty juicy soon! ;)

Hope you guys would enjoy watching this drama too!

Lee Soon Shin is the Best

Entertainment

It's been a while since i did a korean drama review. Since I've found a couple of really nice korean drama recently which i'm currently watching, i would like to introduce and share them with you guys who, like me are total korean drama addicts! (:

Well, i've been watching this drama recently along side "Gu Family Book" (will do a blog review about it soon!). Introducing to you, a new 2013 korean drama that's cute, lovable yet enough to make you tear from sadness.

 The Casts

Synopsis

Kim Jung-ae (Go Doo-shim) raised Lee Soon-shin (IU) with love as her own daughter when she was left at their doorstep as a baby. But upon the death of her husband, she discovers that Soon-shin's real mother is the famous actress Song Mi-ryung (Lee Mi-sook). As Mi-ryung reflects on her fame while watching Soon-shin growing up from afar, Soon-shin herself becomes confused and has inner conflicts between the mother who gave birth to her and the mother who raised her. Eventually, the three women will reconcile and become a "real" family in the midst of their pain and growth.

Meanwhile, Soon-shin and her two older sisters represent the realities that women in their 20s and 30s face in Korea. Soon-shin is a member of the "880,000 won generation," or college graduates who can't find a job and instead work in low-payingtemp jobs. But she attracts the notice of Shin Joon-ho (Jo Jung-suk), head of a talent agency. Over-confident and arrogant, Joon-ho is determined to transform her into a star. But while watching Soon-shin do everything to realize her dream of becoming an actress, Joon-ho looks back on his career and finds himself changing as he discovers the true meaning of success. They bicker and fall in love with each other.

Middle daughter Lee Yoo-shin (Yoo In-na) has lived next door to Park Chan-woo (Go Joo-won) since childhood. Despite their constant squabbles, Chan-woo (now a dermatologist) still loves her confidence and prickly demeanor. Yoo-shin delays thinking about marriage and childbirth, instead prioritizing success at work. But when Joon-ho's younger sister Shin Yi-jung (Bae Green) develops a crush on Chan-woo, it makes Yoo-shin realize her true feelings for him.

Eldest daughter Lee Hye-shin (Son Tae-young) is beautiful and competent, but feels like a failure when her marriage ends. As a divorced single mother, she has difficulties re-entering the workforce. She later meets Seo Jin-wook (Jung Woo), a neighborhood baker who shows her consideration and gentleness, helping heal her wounds.

After the sudden death of their father, the three sisters each grow as individuals through enduring hardships as a family. They come to realize that the most precious things in life can be found within oneself, and happiness is a blessing that comes to the courageous few who have high self-esteem and take charge of their own lives. Being poor is okay, not being first is okay, and not being in the spotlight is okay. It's okay to be happy with just the way you are

Have been watching this drama recently and i'm slowly starting to love it. The beginning was a little draggy and i got a little bored watching it. I actually skipped some parts cause it got a little dry with too much dialogue, and usually skipped to IU and jung suk parts cause it's pretty cute and hilarious watching them both together. But i'm glad despite that moment of dullness, i continued watching and slowly it's starting to get juicer in the following episodes. I love how it's developing so far and i'm actually looking forward to the next episode every weekend. Currently, it's been updated till episode 28 which thus i can't wait for the next episode to be out in the coming weekend!

I wouldn't say it's a really bad drama, but i would say there's actually something to learn from in this drama revolving around families and how with a house filled with ladies, cope with obstacles they face one after another. How standing strong together as a family means so much more whether you have the same blood flowing inside you or not. It's meaningful to a certain degree. The actors and actress in this drama are pretty good as well, they totally draw me into the drama with their acting skills. Watching them act, i could actually feel the emotions as well. It's like a kind of telepathy feeling, where you feel they way they are feeling. *thumbs up* Thus i would recommend this drama to those of you who are korean drama addicts, like i am. I'm sure you would enjoy watching this drama! So, before casting it aside from watching at the beginning, do carry on and i'm sure this drama wouldn't fail you. As of yet, i'm unsure as to how the ending would turn out since it's just half way through the whole series. But i'm definitely hoping for a happy ending for this family. Let's watch and find out together, shall we? (:

Besides that, i would really love to see soon shin being successful as an actress! Cause i just love IU, she's so sweet and really cute! How nice if they've parts of IU singing in the drama as well! Her voice is awesomely amazing! (:

Till then.
xoxo.

Beautiful Creatures

Movie Review ♥

It's the weekends all over again and to end my Sunday, I had a movie date with my dad instead of D. It's been awhile since i've been to the cinema's with my dad to catch a movie, we use to do that pretty often in the past. Watching all sorts of movies, and usually they are the ones i've been wanting to catch! Hurhur. So loved right? I know ♥

I've been wanting to catch "Beautiful Creatures" for the longest time ever! (Yes, I realize I do say this often. What to do, when i'm such a movie junkie. I'm a total huge movie lover, practically every show i would wanna watch of course minus horror flicks! haha). D was suppose to catch it with me, but we never had the chance too, so i ended catching it with Dad instead. *happiness*

Synopsis ♥

Directed by
Richard LaGravenese

Produced by
Andrew A. Kosove
Broderick Johnson
Erwin Stoff
David Valdes

Genre:
Drama, Fantasy, Romance

Ethan longs to escape his small Southern town. He meets a mysterious new girl, Lena. Together, they uncover dark secrets about their respective families, their history and their town.

SPOILER ALERT!!

In Gatlin, South Carolina, Ethan Wate awakens from a recurring dream of a girl he doesn't know. In narration, he describes his enjoyment of reading banned books, his despair of his small-town existence and his dreams of leaving for college. Arriving for his first day of junior year, Ethan notices newcomer Lena Duchannes, who resembles the girl he has been dreaming about. The other students do not take kindly to her and spread gossip regarding her reclusive uncle, Macon Ravenwood, and her family being devil worshippers. Overhearing these whispers, Lena tenses and the classroom windows shatter, amplifying the fears and suspicions of the class and the townspeople at large that she is a witch.

On a drive home, Ethan nearly runs over Lena, whose car has broken down. He gives her a ride home and the two bond over their shared love of poetry and having both lost their mothers. Ethan drops Lena off but later finds a locket and returns to the mansion to give it to her as a present. The touch of the locket triggers a shared flashback to the Civil War, after which he awakens at his home. Macon disapproves of their growing romance and conspires with Ethan's family friend, Amma, to keep the two separated but Ethan persists and Lena confesses that she and her family are "casters", capable of performing a variety of magical spells such as changing the weather and illusion casting. On her 16th birthday, Lena's true nature will steer her towards either the light or the dark and Lena fears being consumed by evil and hurting those she loves. Ethan insists she is responsible for her own choices and that regardless of her insecurities she is a good person.

Matters are complicated by the arrival of two immensely powerful dark casters who aim to push Lena to the dark: Ridley, Lena's provocative cousin/childhood friend and Sarafine, Lena's mother, who has possessed Mrs. Lincoln, the mother of Ethan's friend Link. and foresees Lena becoming a more powerful caster than her. Lena and Ethan use the locket to re-experience the flashback in its entirety and it reveals their ancestors, caster Genevieve Duchannes and mortal Confederate soldier Ethan Carter were in love. Ethan was shot in battle and Genevieve revived him using a forbidden spell that caused her to go dark and curse the women of the Duchannes family line. They consult with Amma, who is in fact a seer/keeper of a caster library beneath the town library. The most ancient of these books, the Book of Moons, reveals the secret to undoing the curse: one of Lena's loved ones has to die to sacrifice the curse. Unwilling to take Ethan's life, Lena instead erases his memories of their time together.

Ridley seduces and enchants Link and gives him a bullet to use in an upcoming Civil War reenactment of the Battle of Honey Hill taking place on Lena's birthday. During the reenactment, Link and Ethan agree to "kill" each-other so they can ditch the reenactment. While at the ceremony for her 16th birthday, Lena feels the shock of the curse being broken and runs off to Ethan, clutching his dying body as Ridley and Sarafine egg her on to give in to her grief and accept the dark willingly. Lena lashes out in anger, sending lightning strikes through the crowd reenactors until Ethan transforms into Macon, having previously disguised himself as Ethan to become the sacrifice needed to break the curse. His dying words are for Lena to "Claim yourself" and she causes the moon to disappear, stopping it from claiming her for the dark. Lena allows Ridley to flee and pulls Sarafine from Mrs. Lincoln's body, defeating her.

Months later, a still-amnesiac Ethan stops by the library to visit Amma before leaving for a college campus tour with Link and apologizes to Lena for not having gotten to know her during their time in Gatlin. Lena is then seen in the caster library, where it is revealed she's been half-claimed for the dark side. Meanwhile, just after Link drives past the town line, Ethan recalls their memories together and gets out of the car to yell Lena's name. Lena hears and the screen cuts to black.

Living in Darkness, Living in Light?
Which one are you?
OR
Have you been claimed?

I've always enjoyed watching supernatural shows/movies. Of course, not the horror ones but romance. You've vampires and Zombies falling in love with humans, what more are witches or spell casters falling in love with humans?

I did enjoyed the movie, but i wouldn't say i loved it. It was enjoyable to watch, with some laughs and awwws here and there but i wouldn't rate it as the best. It's pretty much a high school flick where you more or less could tell how's the ending would be. May be with just a little twist towards the end, for this movie.

Overall, it's a pretty cool movie to catch with your other half. Especially during the lovey dovey moments.

Well,
Morale of the story:
Love conquers all.
It doesn't matter what kind of love, but as long as you love.
All things are made possible.
(that's my view/opinion about the movie)

Do you believe in LOVE?

Cheongdam-dong Alice

Review ♥

Hello Kdrama fans! I'm back again, with another awesome Kdrama to introduce to you guys! I haven't been watching Kdramas for quite awhile now and have missed out on a couple of awesome dramas. Yet on the bright side, I won't need to wait irritatedly for new episodes to be out especially when the previous ending episode's makes you crave for more. Now, I've a list to enjoy watching.. at my own pace >.- on second thoughts, it isn't that bad afterall. haha!

I've recently just finish watching May Queen 2 days back. And I cried my eyeballs out. It was so so so really very tragic, that it just makes your tears flow non-stop. It's one super duper melodrama show. Then again, i do like how the plot twists. It's not that predictable to a certain extend, it throws you surprises once in awhile. I did a review on May Queen in my earlier post last year when the drama was still ongoing. So here, are my thoughts about the drama after finally finishing the whole Kdrama. It's AWESOME!! It's one of the few long dramas, which usually has only 16 episodes. May Queen has 38 episodes. Pretty much like a mini korean soap opera drama huh? Anyway, it's a pretty good drama to catch if you're looking for one. Furthermore, it's completed! Your cravings for wanting more can be eased. hehe.

You can read my blog post review on May Queen, HERE.

Alright, sorry for sidetracking! I was suppose to introduce you a new Kdrama aren't I? This new Kdrama i'm currently watching is "Cheongdam-dong Alice". It isn't really a new Kdrama actually (just new to me). There's 4 more episodes to go before this drama comes to a close. Do check this drama out if you have not!

Read on and you'll know why. Even i'm hooked onto it!

 Cheongdam-dong Alice

Genre: Romance, Comedy
No. of Episodes: 16
Broadcast: Saturdays & Sundays
Time: 21:55

Synopsis ♥

Han Se-kyung's personal motto is "L'effort est ma force (Hard work is my strength)" and she battles all sorts of hardships with an optimistic attitude. She enters every design contest she can apply to and finally gets hired at her dream job at an apparel company, only to find that she's the glorified errand girl for the president's wife. To make things worse, the boss's wife was once her high school classmate and rival, who was a worse student than Se-kyung, and now determined to make her life miserable.

So Se-kyung makes up her mind to marry a rich man and embarks on the project to become a "Cheongdam-dong daughter-in-law," an upscale, fashionable young lady who marries into the social upper crust in Cheongdam-dong (a small, insular, and particularly posh neighborhood in Seoul's Gangnam district).

The title is a word play on Alice in Wonderland, and refers to the heroine's fish-out-of-water status in said neighborhood, as she navigates the strange new world of designer clothes, gossip and consumerism. Se-kyung agrees to enter into a marriage, but what ensues is a "warm and cheerful story of finding real happiness."

This drama is still ongoing with 4 more episodes to go before it ends. I don't tear as much as May Queen vice versa, I laugh like an idiot sometimes watching this show. The protagonist Seung Jo (Park Si Hoo) makes this drama is cute and hilarious. There's just so many side of him, which makes it cute and really funny. From being such a kid, to his serious moments to a side of him filled with hurt and sorrow from his past. Furthermore, Park Si Hoo is such a charmer! *mind wanders* I got attracted to this dude after watching "The Princess' Man". Man, that historical drama is really good too! I wouldn't mind re-watching it again! Well, of course this drama is worth re-watching again and so does a few other couple of awesome Kdramas. I'm sure most of you Kdrama addicts (like me previously) would be able to guess which dramas I'm referring to? We would have some similarities somewhat, don't you think so? haha!

This drama relates pretty much to the world we live in a way or another. A world where not many of us may know yet it does exist with a different kind of circumstance or situation. You may agree or disagree with me. Most of us are living such blessed lives that at times we forgot all about poverty. The fight for survival for a better life, lesser suffering a world where may be most of us have not experienced it before.

It's always been said that the rich would never pick the poor yet sometimes miracles can happen but it's like finding a needle in a haystack. The script and plot of this drama is a thumbs up! I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Then again, you have to watch it to know why. I really don't wish to be a spoiler, but i've a couple of photos and the drama preview posted which should be enough to get you interested and roughly know about this drama!
