I like them both together cause they make such an awesome partner in crime! Don't you think so? Alright, i prefer Mike more cause i think he's cute and so does my dad! Monsters University is bringing you into a journey where you'll be meeting even more friends in all shapes, colors and sizes from the monster world, as we go back into time of their college days. Don't you want to know how Mike and Sulley became such good friends? How they met for the very first time and how they got through college days together? Well, i am really excited to know!

What excites me the MOST in Disney's Oz the Great and Powerful?

I have always loved Disney's movies since I was a kid and have never failed to give any Disney movies a miss. Disney movies was my companion while growing up and now, even as an adult my love for Disney movies have not subsided. Instead, it became a form of habit that I have and MUST catch any Disney movies that's been out in theatres!

I have been looking forward and waiting as patiently to catch Oz the Great and Powerful ever since I caught it's trailer while catching another movie at the cinema's! And I definitely went.. "I'M TOTALLY GONNA WATCH THIS!!" to D. Well.. it's pretty bimbotic I admit, but after realizing it's one of Disney's latest movie AND it reminds me of a movie that I have known since growing up, I couldn't help myself!

While growing up, my childhood movies revolved around these couple of movies besides cartoons. The Sound of Music, Annie, Mary Poppins and The Wizard of Oz. And this movie definitely do remind me of that particular movie! Won't you agree with me?

If you have no idea what The Wizard of Oz is all about, here's some spoilers for you!

Dorothy Gale is a 12 year old farm girl living in Kansas with her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry. Her guardians and the farmhands Hunk, Zeke (Bert Lahr) and Hickory are too busy pay attention to her. Em then tells her niece to find a "place where she won't get into any trouble" causing her to sing "Over the Rainbow". Miss Gulch shows up to have Dorothy's pet dog Toto destroyed after he bit her earlier on. Toto escapes though and Dorothy, knowing she'll be back, decides to run away. They meet Professor Marvel, who claims via his crystal ball that Em is "sick". Believing him, Dorothy heads back to the farm but her family and the hands are in the storm cellar and Dorothy has her head hit by a window frame. Dorothy awakens and discovers they are in the core of a tornado and the house lands with a bump.

Dorothy and Toto enter a technicolor world named Oz and meet Glinda the Witch of the North who states that they are now in Munchkinland, and that Dorothy's house has killed the Wicked Witch of the East. The Munchkins rejoice that the Witch is dead but her evil sister, the Witch of the West arrives and is furious both that her sister is dead and her dead sister's magical ruby slippers are now worn by Dorothy, thanks to Glinda. She promises vengeance on Dorothy and Toto before leaving. Glinda tells Dorothy she can get back to Kansas by going following the yellow brick road to see the Wizard of Oz, who lives in the Emerald City.

Dorothy and Toto en route to the city encounter the Scarecrow, Tin Man and the bipedal Cowardly Lion who each wish for a brain, heart and courage respectively. As they approach the city, the Witch tries to kill Dorothy by spiking the poppy field with poison, but Glinda intervenes, much to the fury of the Witch. The friends eventually arrive at the city and are greeted by both the door keeper and coachman. Dorothy and the Lion get makeovers, while Scarecrow gets fresh straw and the Tin Man is polished. After the Witch sends a threatening message, they meet the Wizard's guard, who eventually gets them in to see the Wizard, who says he will grant their wishes for a service: by bringing him the Witch of the West's broom.

On their way to the Witch's castle, the flying monkeys ambush them and kidnap Dorothy and Toto. In the castle, the Witch blackmails Dorothy, threatening to drown Toto if she does not give her the slippers. After Dorothy agrees, the Witch is still unable to get them due to a shower of sparks. The Witch then remembers the slippers will remain on Dorothy's feet until she dies. Toto escapes and the Witch locks Dorothy in the tower, planning to execute her once the top bulb of her hourglass is empty. Toto finds the trio and they overpower three Winkie guards before saving Dorothy, but are chased by the Witch and her other guards. They soon trap the foursome and the Witch sets Scarecrow afire. Dorothy, in putting out the flames with a bucket of water, accidentally splashes water over the Witch, causing her to melt. The Winkies are now free and reward Dorothy by giving her the broomstick.

Back in Emerald City, the Wizard still refuses to grant their wishes, but after Toto exposes him as a normal middle-aged man, he says he will do so. He gives the Scarecrow a diploma, Lion a medal and Tin Man a heart-shaped clock. He decides to fly Dorothy home in his hot air balloon, but it takes off without her. Glinda arrives and tells her the ruby slippers will get her home. After saying her goodbyes, Dorothy clicks her heels three times and awakens back home surrounded by her family, the three farmhands and Marvel. She claims the hands and Marvel were in Oz and says "There's no place like home", though it is implied Dorothy's visit to Oz was simply a dream.

After reading the plot from The Wizard of Oz, aren't you curious to know how similar Oz the Great and Powerful is going to be? Well, I AM for sure! Though I know it's not going to be exactly the same as the adaptation, I'm still curious to know how the movie will end. I'm more interested to see a twist and a much more interesting version with more fantasy, more magic, some intense action that keeps you wriggling in your seat and of course, not forgetting some sweet lovely romance!

Let's see why I said both movies are similar, shall we?

What do you guys think?

I LOVE "The Wizard of Oz" and I'm DEFINITELY 100% sure I'm going to LOVE "Oz the Great and Powerful" too!!

Synopsis ♥

Disney’s fantastical adventure “Oz The Great and Powerful,” directed by Sam Raimi, imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved wizard character. When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful wizard but into a better man as well. “Oz The Great and Powerful” is produced by Joe Roth, with a screenplay by Mitchell Kapner and David Lindsay-Abaire (credit not final). Grant Curtis, Palak Patel, Philip Steuer and Josh Donen are serving as executive producers.

Official Release Date: 7 March 2013

What extend would you go to keep your favourite pet by your side FOREVER?

I've always wanted to own a dog since young, but my mom isn't much of an animal lover. Thus I've been forbidden to own one. ( SAD right? I know.) Well, the reason to that is because my mom was once bitten by a dog during her childhood years, thus she pretty much hates dogs ever since then. It was tramatizing for her, thus I can understand why she doesn't want dogs. But I've told myself I will own a dog someday! (:

I love going over to my aunt's house, because she owns TWO loveable dogs!

 Little Angel (Miniture Toy Poodle)

Corey. (He's pretty old in this photo and he's lost his sense of sight).

Well, since I don't own a dog but I'll like to talk about an experience I had during my growing up years. A period where my darkest hours were, yet an awesome buddy was there for me. He's no other then Corey! This dog was there during my growing up years. In way, we kind of grew up together. Corey hates taking photos, thus I could never get a proper/nice photo of him or with him.

I was in primary 4, preparing for my streaming exams when my mom was diagnosed with breasts cancer. It was a moment of hell for me when my mom went for surgery. Because the surgery took longer then expected and I had school, I had to stay with my aunt since nobody was around to "look after" me being an only child in the family. I remembered I would cry myself to sleep every night cause I missed my parents and Corey would always be the one standing at the door way looking at me with sad eyes, before dragging my aunt into the room to comfort and soothe me to sleep. I've a really bad habit, I can't sleep in an unfamiliar place and I'm very attached to my parents. I can't sleep too when they aren't around. (Weird kid, aren't I?) It happens, when you're the only child. The closest to you are your parents or pet (if you have one). Sometimes, Corey would come into the room, jump on top of the bed and snuggle with me to sleep. (My older cousin's in australia taking her degree then, so her room's empty for me to stay for a couple of days). The days living in over at my aunt's place until mom was healthy enough to go home was durable thanks to Corey. We fight, bully each other and everything else like how siblings are. Whenever I leave for school, Corey would always be sitting by the window watching (like bidding goodbye), and does the same when I'm back from school. It always brings a smile to my face seeing him at the window waiting and watching.

Such an awesome dog, how would you not love him? Corey passed on last year due to old age. I heard from dad that Corey died upon reaching the vet. I was sad, hearing the news. Memories of Corey started flooding my mind, and I've missed him. As I got older, I have not been spending much time with him due to school activities and work. I went over to my aunt's place, lesser and lesser. I do wish for a miracle to keep Corey alive. If I had the power, I wished I could invent a kind of pill for Corey to keep him young and hyper like how it was years back during childhood. A kind of medication, a kind of power, a kind of miracle that would keep him immortal forever! If Corey could have had an exchange of an immortal body, how awesome would that be? I would be able to see him forever!

After Corey left, so did Angel due to illness. She too, died inside dad's car on the way to the vet. Heartbreaking, isn't it? I love this two dogs the most. One who grew up with me and another, I watched her grew into a beautiful stylish cute poodle.

R.I. P Corey and Angel.
you both will always be loved and kept in memory.

P/S: I had my very one pet too, a hamster! But i'll like to dedicate this post to Corey and Angel. Two most awesome pets I've known since young! (:

After reading a little of my life story, here's a question for you. If you had a chance to keep your favourite dog by your side forever, what would you have done? Well,  Frankenweenie definitely had a chance of a second life. Aren't you the least bit interested how? Read on to find out!! (:

From the movies,

Film director/Producer, Tim Burton is back again with his latest 3D masterpiece..... FRANKENWEENIE!!

Who else but Burton could get away with a movie shot entirely in black and white wherein a boy goes to a cemetery at night to dig up a dead pet and then bring it back to live? Did we also mention it’s a stop-motion labour of love shot over two years? The movie uses 200 puppets and NO computer animation (aside from the special effects). Now, that is a MUST-watch for any stop motion film enthusiasts.

Synopsis
From creative genius Tim Burton ("Alice in Wonderland," The Nightmare Before Christmas") comes "Frankenweenie," a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor's fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new "leash on life" can be monstrous.

A stop-motion animated film, "Frankenweenie" will be filmed in black and white and rendered in 3D. The talented voice cast includes: Catherine O'Hara, Martin Short, Martin Landau, Charlie Tahan, Atticus Shaffer, Robert Capron, Conchata Ferrell and Winona Ryder.

Presented by Disney, "Frankenweenie" is directed by Tim Burton, produced by Tim Burton and Allison Abbate, from a screenplay by John August, based on an original idea by Tim Burton.

Official Release Date: 15 November 2012
