Me-In.kr Media Launch

Hi guys! It's been awhile and here I am back again to share something really interesting! Especially those of you who are fans of korean culture, style and fashion!

Introducing..

What does the logo stand for?
It is pronounced as "Mi-In" in Korean.
美 IN Inner Beauty
美人 Beautiful People
美引 Leading Fashion Forward

Why Me-In?
Inspired by the "IT Girl", Me-In is borne from the desire to serve modern pragmatic women, therefore it helps modern women to achieve being aptly dressed for diverse circumstances and situations with whatever that may be. Shopping in Me-In is going to be a head-to-toe experience which is unique in it's own way!

"It isn't beauty, so to speak, nor good talk necessarily. It's just it."
- Rudyard Kipling

Let's see who runs behind the scenes of Me-In.

 Hyejin KIM
Creative Director
Hyejin Kim has worked in the Korean online shopping mall industry for the past nine years. Her experience coincides with the initial rise in popularity of online shopping in Korea during the early 2000’s. During this period, Hyejin has worked as a freelance model with many of the largest and most popular Korean online brands. She has also worked as an assistant casting
director for several popular Korean commercials. Finally, early in her career, Hyejin worked
as an assistant stylist at one of the first Korean online shopping malls, where she learned

 Song-yee GIL
Stylist
Song-yee Gil has six years of experience. Before her current role as Fashion Director at Me-In, she was a celebrity stylist in charge of the image for popular Korean actor, Ji-hoon Ju. She has previously worked in the online retail space including Eranzi, where she developed a Korean brand image targeted at Malaysian customers. In addition, Song-yee has significant experience working as a pioneer employee at a successful outlet, A-Round in the wholesale market

Introducing the lovely sweet Models from Korea..
(the faces of Me-In.kr launch)

Moving forward, let's check out Me-In.kr latest launch.

WORK. LOVE. PLAY
Categorized into 3 different themes.

. W O R K.
(Launch 1 & 2)

Away with the "stuffy" office look..
Classic colors that offsets what would traditionally be considered a design that is too informal for the Korean workplace, while accompanying it with a jacket of modern cut adds a degree of sophistication. To tone down further, you can choose to match it with a pair of conservative pumps.

. P L A Y .
(Launch 1)

Look great without trying..
A common fashion that is overly focus on your primary attire (e.g: tops & bottoms), often resulting in the "trying too hard" vibe.

Mix and matching is the rage in Korea..
Items that don't always go together and creating a new and interesting look that expresses your a person's own individuality. The mix and matching techniques of Korea's "fashionastas", a group of well-dressed celebrities whose "street fashion" is at the cutting edge of the new Korean chic.

A mixture of trends in Korean Fashion..
A stylish person tends to take a step further and show their creativity through textures. With unbalanced designs showing up in an array of different popular looks, the skirt is an example of how unbalanced detail can add a special touch to what is an otherwise ordinary miniskirt.

. L O V E .
(Launch 1 & 2)

Dressing to impress your significant other..
Korean ladies would definitely skew towards the feminine look. Classic design such as the white collar shirt is a tried and true way of looking both sweet and sophisticated. For a girly route, top it off with a cute flower print skirt when going on a special date. The perfect outfit along with accessories like rings and bracelets to complete a truly feminine outfit.

Spring is in the air..
Yellow the colour at the moment. A warm, vibrant colour is just the thing to make a lovely impression. Even in Singapore without the traditional 4 seasons, having korean styles in your wardrobe as they change throughout the year can be pretty fun.

Men and dress..?
A dress that brings out the best of your lines, a definite must to had. Adding a classy touch, like wearing a jacket over the dress can unveil to add an exclamation point to your evening.

Finally, the day which everyone has been looking forward too after hearing getting to know a little more about Me-In. Time to meet the models in person! Whoo~hooo~
The bf was suppose to attend the event with me but due to some last min changes, guess who came instead as my partner for the evening?

p/s: apologies for the blurry photo. It feels pretty artistic, doesn't it? lol

Check out who else attended the event! (:

First Fashion Shoot Experience as a Photographer

Fashion & Photography

HELLO hello! It's midweek once again! How have your week been so far?

It is out of this world how i ended being a photographer but thanks to my darling Amanda for the heads up, i'm so honoured, happy, excited, grateful (yeah, whatever that comes to your mind. It's that whole lot of emotion) etc to be able to help these two lovely ladies and be part of the "team" for the day! Haha! You won't  be able to imagine HOW excited i was that day~

First of first, i'm not a professional photographer besides being a pro at taking selfies and candid photos (which many would call it "unglam photos" kekeke). I wouldn't say i have amazing skills or whatever but i guess it's everything that makes the photos look amazing! But yet again, it was an amazing experience with the girls! ;)

Gender Bender / Gender-Bending

** Outfits belongs to the models **

Don't they look amazingly gender-bended?
(is there even such a word to begin with?)
With less talk, enjoy the photos or you could leave a comment with your feedback!

P/S: I can't afford these precious photos to get "stolen", so hail to watermark! ;)

. Gender Bender .

It is sometimes a form of social activism undertaken in response to assumptions or over-generalisations about genders. Some gender benders identify with the gender assigned them at birth, but challenge the norms of that gender through androgynous behavior and atypical gender roles. Gender benders may self-identify as transgender or gender queer, feeling that the gender assigned to them at their birth is an inaccurate or incomplete description of themselves; some are transsexual and desire to change their physical sex through hormone therapy or sex reassignment surgery.

Thanks to the girls and fashion shoot, i'm opened to a whole new world into fashion.
There and then, i was "introduced" to Andrej Pegic; a model and "SHE" is a HE.
this was just random. HAHA!!

Till then.
xoxo.

1 Day to Fashion in a City! ARE YOU READY FOR IT?

Fashion

WHERE HAVE I DISAPPEARED TOO?
That is the QUESTION.

First and foremost, did you miss me? Haha! Right, a really shameless question indeed. That besides the point, I was just having some fun! (:

Alright, so here goes. In preparation for Fashion in a City, Noel Caleb models had the opportunity to gym for a whole solid week, last week! Thanks to Fitness First for being an awesome sponsor, we got to keep ourselves toned, fit and burn off some calories/fats. Well, not like i've burned much off. (You'll know why later..)

First day of gym, i met up with two sweet lovely girls,  Stella and Anu! (By the way, Anu is also taking part in Miss World, so do give her your lovely support and "Like" her page HERE).

Before starting anything off, here we are inside the ladies locker snapping photos of ourselves! It's a common thing that happens when a bunch of girls get together. We had to change into our exercise attire, before we went off and had our BMI done.

We had a little consultation done with one of Fitness First personal traineer. Here is Anu, getting her BMI checked. We did the check to see if we fall under the healthy or unhealthy range as well as how bad our body fats were.

Skinny me, have body fats too! But the three of us all fall under the healthy range! Yay!! But of course, we each had our own body fat mass too, basically we three just needs more toning of our muscles and that should keep us toned and fit!

Here we are, enjoying the outdoor breeze.. NO. We were doing intense or rather hardcore core training to tone our abs! It's serious work out BIG TIME, and i almost felt like i was on the verge of going insane! For me who have not been exercising since i've no idea when, was pretty much torture. But after the whole set was over, we felt refreshed! Like your bones and muscles have been released. But the following day, it felt REALLY bad. I had bad body aches all over. O.O

Following day, we met more Noel Caleb models at the gym! It's fun doing work outs together as a group. Helps to keep you motivated to really exercise!

Here we are, getting all ready for Body Jam class! Before class starts.. a photo to go! (:

Look at us after Body Jam, we looked really messed up! The work out was very up tempo, and each set got faster and faster that my stamina was quickly being devoured by the exercises we had to do. But it's really fun! If i could choose, YES i'll love to do Body Jam again!

That pretty much sums up my week of gym! Getting to make new friends, having awesome company for work outs, classes and burning those calories and fats off. Right, the reason why i guess i didn't make much of a difference after gym, was because on the last two days i had steamboat for two conservative nights! Yes, the gluttony in me took over. Ohh well, but it was an awesome experience still! (:

P/S: Haven't been able to snap much photos with my camera, thus we used our phones to snap photos for convenience purpose!

NOW.
Would you like some insides into Fashion in a City?
